How this pattern works

Large, vague, or multi-step tasks can create too many possible moves at once. You may think about the project repeatedly without converting that thinking into an action your hands can actually perform. Once someone clarifies the next step, momentum often improves quickly. The bottleneck is less about motivation than reducing the size and ambiguity of the starting point.

One thing to try

Rewrite one delayed task as a physical action that takes ten minutes or less. Replace “work on presentation” with something like “open the deck and write three slide titles.”

Is this your pattern?

Two people can put off the same task for completely different reasons. Answer 15 quick questions to find the pattern that shows up most for you. No signup, no email.
